He served as the Managing Director, EDAC Engineering Ltd (Formerly known as SPIC JEL Engineering Limited). He began his career as an Engineering Management Service Trainee in the parent company, SPIC.

Mr. Nandakumar holds a Masters in Industrial Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras (1992) and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Anna University, Guindy, Chennai (Dec 1984).

He is certified Project Director of Level A by Project management Associates (PMA) India which is part of International Project management Associates (IPMA), Europe since 2017.

Certified Level A Executive consultant and coach (IPMA – CECC) by Project management Associates (PMA) India which is part of International Project management Associates (IPMA), Europe since Oct 2023.

He is alumnus of Terra.do, USA Climate change related, Learning For Action (LFA) program since June 2023

With hands-on leadership in various functional roles such as business development, marketing, project management, and contract execution, he has been responsible for establishing and operating overseas entities in UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia.

He is also a distinguished member of the following professional associations –

Served as the Treasurer-Alumni Association of College of Engineering Guindy -AACEG (2021-23), a renowned 99-year-old body serving the CEG Alumni and society.

As Convener of the Energy Panel with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce of India (FICCI), Tamil Nadu State Council, he is responsible for several energy initiatives in Tamil Nadu. He actively leads various other FICCI initiatives, including several of their media interactions.

Advisor to the board of Asia Power Electrical Pvt Ltd, Chennai (Voltech Group, Chennai) in strategy formulation and identifying new opportunities. This company focuses on electrical system and transformers of large capacities services, repair and maintenance

His pursuit of improving project deliveries in the EPC sector has led to the pilot and implementation of Lean Construction practices for the first time in the power sector in India. He is also a trained Risk management professional (IIM Ahmedabad) and has implemented it successfully in organizations.

Mr. Nandakumar, over the years, has cultivated many well-wishers, friends, and ardent supporters within and outside India.

In doing his part for the younger generation, Mr. Nandakumar holds several guest lectures on various Technical/Business topics in business forums and academic institutions. He was also a part of the executive committee of the Institute of Energy Studies (IES) of Anna University and other premier private educational institutions.

With over 39 years of experience in the Industrial Energy sector, the founder has worked across geographies on turnkey projects and created massive economic value. In the next phase of his journey, he is enthusiastic about collaborating, supporting and advising energy-related businesses.
